The specs include a 5 inch 1080p IPS display, an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, 3 gb ram, 32 GB internal memory + microSD expansion capability. It also sports a 2840mAh battery and the new, 20 MP camera. The ultrapixel camera has now been moved to the front, and that means a much better selfie quality, finally!
Design
The design of the M9 resembles a lot to the design of the M8. Here, HTC is following the policy, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. The M8 was a classy phone with that premium unibody aluminum casing. The trend follows here as well. There are some minor changes like the back now has a bit more texture to provide better grip, and the shape of the back camera sensor has changed as well.
Price
The M9 will launch in USA in the first week of april with a price tag of roughly 700 USD. We do not have any information for the launch date in India. But we expect it to launch mid-April or start of May. The price in India is expected to be around 45k INR.
Verdict
The HTC One M9 is a great phone, hands down. HTC fixed all the short comings with the One M8 and have refined their already perfect design. But with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy s6 and s6 edge in India, HTC will definitely have a tough competition in the upper end market. Keeping that in mind, let’s see what happens..
